Behind the Scenes at Earth Rewards

For the launch of the Earth Rewards blog, we thought we’d give you a sneak peek behind the scenes at Earth Rewards HQ, our company and our team!

Our Vision

Earth Rewards is a rewards program and green app which brings benefits you and the planet. Our goal is to create a platform that has a positive, measurable environmental impact, which is effective and is relevant to people’s everyday lives. We are fuelled and driven by our diverse team of movers and shakers in our respective fields of expertise.

As a company we have a shared motivation to:

• Build a widespread, accessible solution for people like you (and us) to measure, understand and reduce their impacts on the planet and offset what can’t be avoided or reduced. 
• Collectively create a simple yet effective platform that contributes towards creating a better future for us all.
• Empower and enable us all to consider global impact of our localised actions, thanks to supporting the Trocano Araretama project in the Amazon.

Our Ethos

As a team, we ensure we stay true to our mission of providing a technology-based solution to a real-world problem. We are also massive advocates of the wonders of video-conferencing and online team collaboration tools (or telecommuting as it’s known). These tools help us keep productive, in addition to helping us keep both our personal and business carbon footprints to a minimum. This all helps towards our green goals.

Telecommuting has been proven to be more environmentally friendly than commuting to company offices each day. We will write more on this in another post coming soon.

So, without further ado, here’s a short introduction to 2 key members of our team. We’ll introduce you to the rest of the team over the coming weeks.

Meet some of our Team

Pavlos Polianidis

Pavlos is our Director and tech lead here at Earth Rewards! He brings his vast experience of technology design, blockchain and the development of various web systems and apps to the Earth Rewards team.  He ensures we stay true to our mission of building a technologically-advanced product that is simple to use, which benefits our community of users, and helps everyone reach their green goals. All this together with making sure it supports a greener, cleaner planet!

Pete Howroyd

Pete is one of the newest members to join our small (but mighty) team here at Earth Rewards HQ. He is our resident customer loyalty expert and is here to build our community of partners. His objective is making loyalty rewards schemes greener, meaning that customers receive rewards that benefit them AND the planet!  Pete earned his customer loyalty stripes having worked with some of the most established brands across the UK and Australia, including Harrods, Morrisons, MYER & Harvey Nichols. Pete is now sharing his expertise and magic with the Earth Rewards community too.
